Hello, Pilot Era and Pilot One EE both support connecting an external Mic to achieve a better voice experience.
1, In terms of the Pilot Era, you can connect it through the type-C port at the bottom of the camera.
2, In terms of the Pilot One EE, you can connect it through the type-C port or the 3.5mm audio port at the bottom of the camera, we recommend through the type-C port as a priority, it performs a better effect compared to via the 3.5mm audio port. Please note that a sound card is necessary. In general, most of the MIC can work with the Pilot Cameras, but sometimes there will be a compatibility issue, so it is better you can test it by yourself to see which one works.
Below are three models which we tested and it works well with the Pilot cameras.
1, Brand name: MAILADA
As you can see when connecting it to the Pilot Era, you will need a hub-sound card- MAILADA mic.2, Brand name: Saramonic
You can directly connect it to the 3.5mm audio port of the Pilot One EE camera.
There are two kinds of cables come with Saramonic, TRRS & TRS, Pilot Cameras use the TRS cable.
The price of Saramonic is around 61USD, you can google it on Amazon, eBay, etc.![saramonic (1).jpg]
