Serial Stitching in the background

I'm aware of the seriall stitching, which is great.
Does anyone know if that can be started automatically in the background, when the EE is not recording.
What I mean is, I have to manually go I to the gallery, and start it when not recording. Is there a way or a plugging which can automatically start it, if the camera isn't recording (or has enough space, battery, etc etc) , and maybe an option for serial stich by size (small to large) .. or time, like it currently does .
